I find watching fireworks romantic. That short time of looking up, watching giant sparkles make a show above me, never fails to create a special moment. I’m thankful O and I share the same joy in standing beside each other, being entertained by the sparks above us. From holding each other’s hands, his hand shifts to my shoulder to give me that hug as we watch.

We didn’t want to miss this year’s Philippine International Pyromusical Competition in SM MOA. Luckily, we had the opportunity to watch the final show via riding Prestige Cruises.

We had an efficient plan that day. From attending a bridal fair at SMX Convention Center in MOA Complex, we drove to the Seaside Terminal, where Prestige Cruises and other Manila Bay cruises are. We knew how traffic it would be, especially it was the last day of Pyro Olympics. Obviously, the parking was a challenge. Thank God O thought of bringing a driver that weekend.

We experienced to ride the 3-storey cruise from Prestige Cruises. All floors weren’t air-conditioned but didn’t become an issue because of the cool breeze in Manila Bay.

Our table was located at the 2nd floor. Fully packed on that floor, the queue for the buffet became really long once it opened.

During that time, the top deck was reserved for a private birthday party. Based on what the guests were wearing and the DJ’s music, it was a disco theme. They allowed us to peek in and stay at the top deck for a while as long as we don’t crash the party. Hahaha! Compared to the covered 2nd floor, the view up here has a more relaxing ambiance.

Kids are not advised to stay beside the railings. If you have kids with you, it’s safer not to blink an eye on them.

The Food:

Food was a major concern after reading numerous reviews about Prestige Cruise’s food. 90% of those who tried the cruise’ food complained and ranted big time! I got scared. “Is it really that bad?!” I contemplated and became a little apprehensive.

The good news here is, it wasn’t bad at all! Far from the reviews I read, the catering by Barbara’s fed us well that night. The selections were not extravagant but the Filipino choices were just enough for a satisfying dinner. I also found out from one of the owners that they are continuously improving their food based on their clients’ feedback.

Before 8:00pm, the cruise was already positioning itself to the middle to get a good view of the fireworks. Brezac Artefices from France performed that evening.

My favorite shot from that night!

So beautiful!! There’s no one else to share this perfect view but O!

As you can see, we had a fantastic view from Prestige Cruises! The difference from watching at SM MOA grounds and the cruise is that you can’t hear the music from the cruise.

Right after the show from France, the cruise went back to its dock. Total time of the ride was less than 2 hrs.
