Monday Meals
As promised to myself, I will strive for this 2015 to be a healthier and wiser year. Growing older means growing better. There’s no other way but up. With this theme for my year, I began to search for alternatives to walk towards a healthier year other than my love for eating fruits and juicing vegetables.
I may be a little late in joining the club of planned diet delivery meals but I just had to do it. And for my own sake, to taste it for myself. Fortunately, there was one diet delivery company that got in touch with me.
Delicious Diet, a healthy weekly diet delivery service, supported my advocacy in eating healthier. 5 consecutive days a week, Delicious Diet sent me 4 plastic containers of prepared meals, which included breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. All I had to do was heat then eat.
Before the first day of delivery, Delicious Diet sent me the planned meals to expect. Every week, the schedule changes.

Facts:

-All meals are limited to 1,200 calories per day.
-Low salt and high in fiber.
-Free delivery within Metro Manila

Delicious Diet Food:

Tuesday: Corned Beef Hash and Organic Garlic Rice
The first day of planned diet meals weren’t a sacrifice to what I wanted to eat. As you can see from the first photos above, omelette, fish fillet and Mongolian beef kept me company throughout the day. Also, 1 serving is good enough for me.
Tuesday: Herbed Chicken with Quinoa Salad
Considering Delicious Diet prepared ‘low-salt’ recipes, I devoured half of this Herbed Chicken and Quinoa Salad in just 3 minutes. This meal is one of the highlights of my 1 week diet delivery!
Tuesday: Chia Pudding and Minced Meat & Fresh Beans Rice Bowl
Wednesday: Oatscaldo
Although, the third day was quite a struggle. I suddenly felt the urge to eat mooore! Haha! My mind craved for something sweeter so I had to pep-talk myself and control it. After a while, the excess hunger vanished and I appreciated what I had on the table. It just proves healthy eating is not that easy to be honest. This is a habit that requires discipline.
Wednesday: Lean Pork Embudito and Organic Rice
Allowed myself to enjoy the road to healthy eating through Delicious Diet’s delivery meals. But what I noticed during my consecutive days of calorie-counted meals, lunch is always tastier than dinner. Hehe. Now I know this company is training me to slow down my dinner meals.
Wednesday: DD’s Baked Goodie + Black Tea
You don’t have to wrap your hands around your waist to stop yourself from sweet goodies. Delicious Diet spoils once in a while.
Wednesday: Herbed Tuna Panini
The portions may be smaller than your regular eating habits. In other words, “diet” size.
Thursday: Singaporean Breakfast Set
Outside my home, skies were turning gloomy. Very timely to pick up a cup of Teh Tarik (Malaysian tea) and kaya toast.
Thursday: Minced Pork with Eggplant and Organic Rice
Thursday: Belgian Biscuits + Tea
Thursday: Red Curry Fish and Organic Rice
Organic Rice, always the healthier option to pair a savory dish.
Friday: Chicken Longganisa, Pineapple Salsa & Organic Rice
Sweet Friday morning awaited on my breakfast chair with this unexpected longganisa paired with sweet pineapple salsa.
Friday: Chicken BBQ & Organic Rice; Whole Wheat Pasta in Tomato Cream Sauce
All in all, the meals made me feel light without depriving myself from dainty flavors to fill my palate. I didn’t faint nor wished the diet meals were over in the middle of the week.
I am recommending diet delivery meals from Delicious Diet if you want to take a break from all the calorie-loaded meals your body normally consumes.
If you have any thoughts about diet delivery meals, don’t hesitate to share it with me.
