A tear drops, joined in with lips gently moving up to my cheeks, when I think of how God prospered me in 2014. From time to time, I count my blessings and slightly lose track on which number I am in, because of the abundant grace God has been giving me all throughout the year.
In 2014, my mantra as I walk along my journey is in John 3:30 saying “He must become greater; I must become less.” I accepted the challenge of leaving myself behind. Besides, it’s not my name to proclaim, it’s His name. The whole idea sounds harmonious but I tell you, it’s a struggle to do that. Like any other woman, I battle with my own insecurities, ambitions, and dreams. That’s why I strive harder to know God more each year to be secured and comforted by the truth. Without His perfect love, my 2014 would be all about selfishness for my own name, deception by the world’s standards. Learning to accept that living my life on earth is primarily to be King of Kings’ servant is one of the best realities I have in life.
Looking back, a constant sinner like me doesn’t deserve to be unconditionally loved by God and my family. The Food Scout blog is a reflection of God’s amazing love and grace for my life. Indeed, He is marvellous for making me who I am today. I am a nobody. But with Him in my life, I’m a princess, daughter of our one true King who owns the whole universe.
Gratitude is the music of the heart, when its chords are swept by the breeze of kindness. ~Author Unknown

I won’t deny I’m aspiring for more positive things to happen this 2015. I’m sure you have a long list of plans and aspirations for this year. My advice for you, seek God’s advice. The closer you get to Him, the better you get to understand His plans for your life.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9
