In 12 months and 366 days, I was out in the battlefield riding my roller-coaster that went up, down, sidewards and in loops. 2012 taught me to be more dependent and independent at the same time. Independent, wherein I was given tests to be more mature and responsible as I start my early 20s. Dependent, wherein I was challenged to be dependent to my heavenly Father who takes good care of me and picks me up when I trip down and fall. Whatever happened in 2012, I choose to be grateful. There is no perfect life nor perfect year. I know 2012 is not perfect but I am more than thankful for what happened this past year.

Sharing with you highlights of my 2012:

1. Writing for Breakfast Magazine
God gave me the opportunity to be a contributor for Breakfast Magazine. I was a contributor for 5 issues. Never thought this would be given to me. đŸ™‚
Fitz Villafuerte of Thirsty Blogger and Mhel & Ken were also part of the issues where I wrote.
The lovely ladies of Breakfast Magazine.
At the Breakfast Magazine launch, I met our very first cover Judy Anne Santos-Agoncillo.
2. Feature on Metro Society, November 2012 issue
A very interesting feature about me and my favorite things by Metro Society Magazine.
3. Being a Dove Girl with my mom
My favorite beauty brand just chose me and mom to be one of their Dove girls! It is really an honor to represent the brand with the advocacy I believe in. Simple beauty is real beauty.
4. Inspirational Speaker for a Graduation
It’s a proof that being young is no excuse. I delivered my inspirational speech in front of kindergarten to high school students, teachers, parents and guests.
5. Cooking
I don’t cook but I somehow know how to. 2012 was the start of my determination to cook. More to come for 2013 đŸ˜‰
Together with the Breakfast club, I cooked native Filipino food at Casa San Pablo.
One of the appetizers I cooked for mom.
6. Being part of Friday Night Light Singles Ministry (CCF Makati)
To serve God is a privilege. I’ve been praying for a ministry where I could use my time, talents and knowledge. FNL was God’s answer to me when He brought me to this ministry last March 2012. In this ministry, I’ve met new people, grew spiritually, shared laughters and developed friendships to be cherished.
If you are single, you might want to try it out? đŸ™‚ Make your 2013 count!
7. First FNL Team-building
A very memorable team-building. đŸ™‚
8. Hosting for FNL/CCF Makati
9. True Life Singles Retreat
God allowed me to be a facilitator in this retreat.
10. B1G 8 Singles Retreat
Again, I was a facilitator in this jam-packed retreat.
4/5 of my girls got baptized in that retreat. Praise God!

12. Cebu Sinulog Trip
13. Bacolod Masskara Trip
14. My 21st Birthday
Family and friends surprised me at 7 Corners, Crowne Plaza.

If you are single, the best date you could have on Valentine’s day is your Dad. đŸ™‚

People of 2012:

Now that 2012 is over, let us welcome 2013 with wide open arms. Let us fill this year with love, joy and peace. Whatever happened in the past years, I learned to let go of it. What matters now is the Present because the present will determine the Future.
2012 was a great teacher. Above all lessons, what stands out is the lesson of humility. Everyday, God is humbling me, removing the gigantic pride I have in me as a human being. It is not easy, not possible, actually impossible. But with God who gives me strength and hope, I know I can do it. All things are possible when God is on our side. I choose to be on God’s side throughout this year 2013. I am confident He will not fail me because His plans are far greater than mine. Just like last year, I give this year to Him and make Him the driver, the author, the master. In fact, He is my lover. Knowing that He is my ultimate lover, He is in control to fill this year with Love.
To Him be all the glory, honor and praise! đŸ™‚
Happy New Year Foodies!!!

Pray, Eat and Love.
Cheers,
