October 6, 2011 – Thursday night turned out to be like a Friday night for me and my friends. This hyper-energetic event made me forget I was out on a Thursday night. Last week, I was invited to attend the album launch of the band Ernville in the hyped resto/bar, Robot

Do you guys know Ernville
Honestly, I didn’t know anything about Ernville. I mean zero knowledge about their music. I accepted the invite without researching at all. Well, I was quite tempted to research about them because of my friend Nicole who was sending me links about the band, its music specifically, prior to the event. But then, I decided not to know their songs before going to the event. I tried to eliminate expectations for me to truly enjoy what was in store for me that night. And that plan actually worked.

What was our reaction after hearing Ernville play? We were all like, “Oooohhh, catchy!” “I like it!” “Ok ah!”. My friends and I had similar comments on the music we heard. We actually loved it because”nakaka-LSS”, which means last song syndrome.
As soon as Ernville played their songs, I was blown away by their performance. No joke! Ernville had this alternative rock/upbeat/dancevibe with a twist. It’s something I can really add to my iPod playlist and listen to their songs while I’m in the gym (since that’s the only time I listen to my iPod hehe). Their songs were the kind of music I would love to hear over and over again. Cool voice, cool songs and cool band members too!

Lead vocalist Jim was super energetic! I loved how he entertained the crowd with his smashing guitar skills. Galing! I’m now a fan of Ernville!

What else to love about that night?
The answer is the trippy ambiance.

Thank you to Tom Yeung of Robot for entertaining us! He prepared the special drinks of Robot for us. How sweet!
First, he made us the Lady Gaga drink. I saw how meticulous he was by the way he was preparing everything – the glasses, the fruits used, the alcohol, etc. This hands-on owner makes sure that Robot offers their customers high-class food & beverages.

The Lady Gaga (Php 330) drink is my favorite from now on. It’s the better version of Amaretto Sour.

Second one was the Chocolate Almond Delight (Php 330), a dessert-like cocktail. Sweet and no taste of alcohol.

Rachel loved the sweetness of it! Suits her sweet personality as well.

Nicole and I were gaga over Lady Gaga for that night.
If you think Robot is just about drinks, na-ah. Check this out:
Uni Pizza (Php 265), a tortilla-like pizza with fresh uni, cherry tomatoes, black olives, chili and garlic mayo. The crunchy taste of the tortilla made the pizza unique. Although I was disappointed with this order because the slices of pizza weren’t enough. It was so good that I wanted more of it.

This appetizer saved us from the insufficient Uni Pizza. A mix of Robot’s special appetizers served in one big plate. My favorite among these dishes was the Soft Shell Crab Temaki (far left with black sushi wrap).
Chicken Robotchon (Php 350), the very own BonChon style chicken of Robot. Sweet teriyaki taste with sesame seeds on top were perfect combos to make Robotchon. It was served as an appetizer but for some guys, I think you would prefer eating this with rice.
Thank you Saab Magalona for the invite! 🙂
Missed this lady! I’ve known her since we were ‘nene’. The gorgeous Megan Young.

The lovely Rachel Felicia, thank you for coming with me! 🙂
*Little Trivia: That table is where Anne Curtis shot her scene in ‘No Other Woman’. Guess where she sat? On where I was sitting! Haha!
We all enjoyed everything! The ambiance, the people, the food, the drinks and of course, the music from Ernville! It was such another blessing to be part of this successful event.
For those of you who are curious about Ernville, watch MYX and/or buy their album now! 🙂
