Since I was introduced to Uncle Tetsu last year, I had an instant fascination with the brand’s Original Japanese Cheese Cakes. I began to have 2 standards for cheesecakes, one New York style and one Japanese style. Apparently, Uncle Tetsu was that standard for Japanese cheesecakes.
During my recent trip to Uncle Tetsu’s stall in SM North Edsa, I discovered that Mr. Tetsushi Mizokami, founder of the famous cheesecake from Japan, accomplished to create more than just cheesecakes for Uncle Tetsu. Hooray hooray! Say hello to the new products of Uncle Tetsu Philippines.
New products on the roll!
The first item where my eyes focused was on the Cheese Tart baked with OREO (Php 325). This special cheese tart has a layer of OREO under its cheesy and creamy filling. Expect it to be sweeter than all other tarts, the kind of taste OREO lovers will rejoice in.
Signature Cheese Tart (Php 275)
First slice off the aluminum pan and I knew this Signature Cheese Tart is going to be a hit. Delicately baked pastry, the creamy and cheesy filling combined with a flaky pie crust can crush your diet. I lost myself to the balanced taste of sweetness and saltiness together. The filling is specially made from the finest selection of cream cheese, milk, sugar, egg and flour.
What you see is what you want to get. Not being selfish here but this cheese tart almost turned me and my sister into one. I asked her if she wants to share some with her friends and she gave me a straight look that means no. Then I thought, “Yeah, you’re right!” Haha! Looks like one cheese tart is not enough for both of us. :p
Mini Signature Cheese Tart (Php 49)
Uhm… Mini Signature Cheese Tart is definitely not for me. Too small for my appetite! Hahaha!
On the other hand, these mini cheese tarts might be a good idea as a gift for families or loved ones. Bulk orders are accepted for your birthday parties, corporate events, etc. As early as now, I’m giving you an idea what to give away this coming Christmas. 🙂
If SM North Edsa is your hangout place, you can find Uncle Tetsu at The Block (2nd floor) until August 31, 2015.
Have you tried the cheesy products of Uncle Tetsu?
