Do you tend to ditch salad and move on with your mains? I know it’s not our country’s culture to indulge in green leafy salad plates. That’s not how we were brought up. We let rice do the work. However, we still need to balance our lifestyle with healthy nutrients, which we can find in vegetables. It may be a straining adjustment to eat your veggies but you could start with a desirable salad dressing that fits your taste.
I discovered Whisk Salad dressings late last year from the Christmas presents I received. In fact, I received 2 bottles of salad dressings, both Raspberry Vinaigrette, from 2 different people. One was from my Yummy Magazine friends and the other was from my Tita Maris. After trying my first bottle of Whisk, I would always wish there are stocked lettuce and arugula in fridge.
My additional wish, a supply of more Whisk salad dressings too, which actually came true!
Recently, I welcomed other variants of Whisk to my kitchen, other than Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. The bottles of different flavors encouraged me to become a chef (hmm just a salad chef). I was able to try 3 salad dressings (Asian Dressing, Lemon Tarragon Vinaigrette and Raspberry Vinaigrette) out of the many flavors Whisk continues to develop and produce.
Whisk produces artisan salad dressings, dips and sauces made from high-quality ingredients. Meaning, you can taste the difference from other cheap mayo-based salad dressings. By just looking at its packaging, you’ll get the feel of its neat and sophisticated brand. Perhaps, you might think it’s not a local brand.
Asian Dressing
We, Asians will clearly have a connection to Whisk Asian Dressing.  Creamy roasted sesame flavor that goes well with shredded cabbage and crabsticks. Easy to match with any vegetable available. No need to gather fruits to add sweetness and acidity. If you’ve eaten at Yabu or other tonkatsu houses, you’ll get a picture of what to expect from this dressing.

Lemon Tarragon Vinaigrette

You’ll know it’s fresh and clean, evident from the squeeze of lemon in a bottle of Lemon Tarragon Vinaigrette. A distinctive flavor formulated by Whisk that gives an edge to your green plate before rushing to your red meat. I think it’s a lovely recipe!

Raspberry Vinaigrette
Out of all salad dressings, Raspberry Vinaigrette gained my greens and fruits’ attention. Seriously fruity vinaigrette that intends to let you appreciate your vegetables, no matter how much you hate it. I tried to create my own salad using available vegetables at home.
Here’s my salad creation – Fruits in Bloom Salad with lettuce, arugula, sliced apples, dried mangoes, Whisk strawberry and basil jam, and Whisk salad croutons.
My uncle, a typical man who longs for meat and rice, found this salad appealing that he ended up finishing one whole plate. I suggest, you try this salad recipe if you want to let your housemates join the salad crew! 🙂 Or, your idea may be better than this, like adding chicken meat or prawns. Try to mix your own and please share your recipe with me. 🙂
