I went back to Papa John’s Pizza for one main reason, to taste the newest flavor that will give us more reasons to pay Papa John’s a visit. Papa John’s released its newest pizza flavor, the Chicken Carbonara Pizza.
Chicken Carbonara Pizza (Php 485/party size)
Rate: 4/5
The new Chicken Carbonara Pizza comes with crispy bacon in creamy carbonara sauce with a blend of Parmesan, Romano and Mozzarella Cheese. To meat it all up, the new pizza flavor is topped with grilled chicken, onion bacon and mushroom. Using white sauce as its main sauce base gives the pizza a heavier taste in spite of its light colored look. Packed with ingredients we all love, this Chicken Carbonara Pizza looks promising to me.
Thinking I was only present for their newest flavor, it was a blessing for them to serve and bring back more of the old favorites in Papa John’s.
A sneak peek on how Papa John’s prepare pizzas for their customers. During my first encounter with Papa John’s, they allowed me to create my own pizza using my own bare hands. To check out The Food Scout’s version, Click Here.
Hawaiian Pizza in the making using imported ingredients from Papa John’s kitchen in the US.
A tip from Papa John’s in pizza making, make sure you secure a “No Toppings Zone” in the center. It’s practical to apply in order to avoid crowding in the middle when you’re about to slice your pizza pie.

The Food:
Chicken Drumettes and Wingettes (Php 229/6pcs; Php 269/8pcs.)
Rate: 2/5
Soft and fatty skin layering of chicken that was difficult to adore. Trying this for the second time to give it another try but unfortunately didn’t pass my standards for chicken wings. Even its onion rings stayed on the soft soggy side, not my kind of onion rings. I still prefer my onion rings with a crisp and crunch.

Three Cheese (Php 99)
Rate: 4/5
For its price, getting a plate of Three Cheese Pasta with a blend of melted cheddar, parmesan and mozzarella cheese looks like a good deal. Derived from its name, the pasta remains to be smooth and cheesy all throughout.

Carbonara (Php 180)
Rate: 3/5
Still not a fan of white sauce used for my pasta but I can appreciate the option to choose either penne or spaghetti noodles to be used. Nothing fancy with this Carbonara Pasta with fresh bacon, mushrooms and grated parmesan cheese all over.
Super Papa Pizza

The men loves the meaty combination of pepperoni, italian sausage, ham, freshly sliced mushrooms, onions, green peppers and black olives.
The Hawaiian Pizza
Rate: 4/5
Classic never gets old as I go back and forth to this Hawaiian Pizza. Ham, sweet pineapple and cheese, all great for a carb loading evening.

Took my second slice as I couldn’t stop myself from looking at The Hawaiian Pizza in front of me.
The Ambiance:
My first time at the Tomas Morato branch, a busier branch than the Greenhills branch based on my own experience.
The presence of Papa John’s in all these countries, including of course, the Philippines!
Connor (Didi’s son) is too cute, I can’t stop watching him eat his pizza! With a cute baby in front of you, it’s quite distracting to finish your food.
