Sitting pretty, feeling pretty. The cozy lobby of F1 Hotel Manila was a venue for photo shoot, especially when the space is left with nothing but O and I. Before we head to F1 Cafe for our set menu dinner, O and I dropped by the lobby to have his parking ticket validated. Since he wasn’t staying over for the night, he needed to validate his parking ticket to avoid charges. Who wants hotel parking charges anyway? They steal your money for just a day of parking.
The one and only date for the night, Mr. O.
The Food:
For the lent season, F1 Hotel Manila delighted their customers with a selection of mouthwatering seafood dishes.
The Luscious Lent Dinner set is for Php699/head.
Wild Mushroom & Silken Tofu Quiche
The organic arugula and micro sprouts scared me at the time our server was holding the small plate and about to serve to us. From that angle, I really thought it was too leafy and green that the tofu was small and all covered up. As it landed in front of me, I began to smile and liked the portion given for the Wild Mushroom & Silken Tofu Quiche. Tofu was soft as a jello with mild wiggling when I cut through it. I finished my plate as I was loving every bite of this healthy quiche.
Tuscan Style Tomato & Basil Pesto Soup
Cutting down on appetizers was the plan in order to save more space for the main big plates. The plan didn’t push through with the small plates of appetizers that could generally be filling to start off the lent dinner set. When the bowl of Tuscan Style Tomato & Basil Pesto Soup was given, my knees shook and was in admiration with this deep red tomato chunks and pesto in thick tomato soup. I approve to have more of this for dinner!
Steamed Baby Lapu Lapu Fillet
Tell me about tiny, this is what you call tiny. Steamed Baby Lapu Lapu Fillet with Mini Ratatouille, Lemon Capers Butter Emulsion and Saffron Potatoes. Finishing this alone will keep you starving, especially if you’re a man. No matter how flavorful it could be, you often forget it when you’re for the amount of serving. I’m a woman but I still find this plate for the dwarf. It didn’t give me enjoyment.
Lemon and Rosemary Roasted Chicken
The better option for the main dish. I’d choose this than the fish. Classy twist of lemon and rosemary smoothing the taste of this roasted chicken. A more filling for the tummy even if it puts you to trouble for eating meat during the lent. No fasting for me during the lent so meat for my eats didn’t matter anyway. 🙂
Caramelized Spiced Pineapple Tatin
Oh the taste of Caramelized Spiced Pineapple Tatin capped off the dinner with light and gentle sweetness. More to add flavor when you mix it up with cold vanilla ice cream.
The only thing that disappointed the set menu was the fish. I’m not pushing it to the terrible side but there isn’t value for money compared to the chicken. The size was just good for Stuart Little.

The Ambiance:

Dining area was pretty much the same where we had lunch.
It was a double date with Abet and Joan. I love chit-chatting with this adorable couple.
Few steps away, also on the same floor as F1 Cafe, is the Canary Lounge. Those who smoke or suffocated inside an air conditioned room could breathe some fresh air outside with the view of Bonifacio Global City. I moved my feet to go by the poolside for a round of beverages care of the Canary Lounge.
PROMO Alert:
5 Thirsty
Have unlimited drinks from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Canary Lounge for only Php 530.
One side of F1 Hotel Manila is right across Bonifacio High Street where you can do your shopping escapade or get your slice of cakes from dessert shops. Or even a round of freshly squeezed juices from the nearby Jamba Juice. On the other side of F1 Hotel Manila, cross the street for the midnight foodie market of Mercato Centrale.
I spy with my little eye F1 Hotel Manila from Bonifacio High Street near Slice.
Getting tired of the hotel view? Not that far away from the hotel is the sight of the fine and hip Bonifacio High Street.
My beautiful sister Reine jammed with my room for the night. Sister bonding and beauty rest together with this pretty lady.
