What a great morning we all had at Acacia Hotel Manila. 8 hours of sleep in our Junior Suite room plus waking up to this view of Alabang graced my family’s morning. Now I know how Southern living is different from Northern living. Well, not all parts of the North, but most of it. This is the kind of view I’m missing from the North. Lovely laid-back view indeed.
Aside from that, It wasn’t an ordinary Sunday for us because that Sunday was Resurrection Sunday, a celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the cross. A day to remind us that Jesus died and saved us from our sins. In short, it’s a day to celebrate that Christ is alive. A hero was He, and will always be. 🙂 Normally, we go to CCF’s 8am worship on Sundays. Since we had a scheduled breakfast buffet, we decided to attend the afternoon worship instead.

Acaci at the 2nd level of Acacia Hotel served us international & local breakfast food.
In all breakfast buffets I go to, the omelette station is one of the first stations I stop by. The usual combination I tell the cook is this – cheese, tomatoes and mushrooms. From time to time, I try other combinations but I still prefer the usual.
Breakfast buffet, here I go!
From L-R clockwise – Smoked Salmon, Cold Cuts & Cheese, marinated Salmon, Beef Tapa, Chicken Sausages and Garlic Rice.
After trying their Smoked Salmon, I went back to get more of it. Oohh, Salmon really makes eating more appetizing.
Thumbs up for their bread station. I got Ensaymada, Pandesal, and Croissants
We ended our breakfast before 10am. Immediately after breakfast, we all prepared and dressed up for Acacia Hotel’s Easter Sunday event. That means, another ‘eating event’ :))
The event entitled “Lost in Wonderland Easter Sunday Celebration” started at 11:30 am. We arrived at 12nn thinking we would have allotted seats inside, only to find out there weren’t seats for us anymore. I was surprised to see the function room jam-packed with people. For Acacia’s first Easter Sunday event, tickets were sold out. I checked every empty seat if they could still accommodate us. Unfortunately, all seats were taken. I really thank Acacia Hotel’s staff and crew, especially Chrystel Ilano, for being prompt and attentive to all their guests. When I told Chrystel we didn’t have seats, she immediately acted upon it by asking the crew to set-up another table with chairs for us and other guests who didn’t have seats as well. Kudos to Acacia Hotel’s hospitable crew!
After settling down on our seats, I went back to the buffet table, but this time it was for lunch.
I was still full from my breakfast at Acaci, so I opted to hit the Salad Bar for a light start.

Mozzarella Cheese cubes with Pesto

Asian Station, with Thai and Japanese dishes.

Kiddie Station:

Mini pizzas kids enjoyed, which I enjoyed as well. Who said I couldn’t get from the Kiddie Station? :p
Meaty Spaghetti 🙂
Dessert Station didn’t have the cakes and pastries I like.
My favorite station, the Cookie Station! Loved this station more than the Dessert Station.
I decorated my own cookies! Feel na feel ko ang pagiging kid! Haha!
Speaking of kids, Acacia Hotel’s Easter event was really made for kids to enjoy, just like in other Easter events in malls and hotels. In our case, everyone in the family is already part of the adult category. My sister is about to turn 14 this year and I don’t think she is still considered as a kid. However, we prove that age should not stop you from bringing out the childlike heart in you. When the entertainers started performing their own acts, all of us gave our full attention and tried not to blink an eye. Mom and dad were seriously laughing out loud and enjoying every single second of it.
Here are some of the entertainment we all enjoyed, including us adults:

Magician
Mascots
Jugglers

Fire dancers

After the Easter event, we all went back to the room to pack our stuff.

Thank you again Acacia Hotel Manila for a one of a kind hotel experience. You have proved how commendable your service is. With that kind of V.I.P. treatment you give your guests, I can see you have a long way to go. That’s the kind of hospitality guests are looking for. 🙂
I will see you soon, Acacia Hotel Manila! 🙂
