One night, we craved for Chinese food. It was difficult to roam around the city of Bangalore without a guide. Because of this, we asked for the hotel cab to drive us around and bring us to a Chinese restaurant. The driver brought us to Mainland China, a fine dine-in restaurant located near the shopping outlets of the city. Upon entering the restaurant, we felt how accommodating the servers are. Warm smiles, clean ambiance, and attentive servers welcomed us. I felt like I was back in the Philippines because of their hospitable attitude.
On the other hand, the food we ordered completed our joyful dinner. For every dish placed on our table, servers automatically served it on our plates. Even during the middle of our dinner, whenever our plates are becoming empty, these servers get either a scoop of rice or a portion from the main dish and put some on our plates. Imagine, we only held our spoon & fork and not the plates of what we ordered. These servers were very alert and stood by beside us to watch out our dinner. 2 in 1, bodyguard slash waiter. Haha! Or let’s call it as royal treatment.

What we ordered:

Hakaw

A famous Chinese dumpling, filled with big and fresh shrimps. The texture is very soft and slimy in the inside. You can either eat it plainly or dip in soy sauce with lemon and chili oil. This shrimp dumpling is rich with taste, fresh and scrumptious. Chinese food lovers will absolutely dig this.

Stir-fried Chicken with Orange Sauce
A sweet and very spicy dish covered with orange sauce. I am a fond of spicy foods, however, this dish was extremely spicy that suits the taste buds of Indians. We had to ask the hospitable servers to lessen the spice of this dish for us to enjoy it more. Luckily, they replaced it with a better dish, which is less spicy.
Prawn Fried Rice
Good for 2-3 persons, we finished our fried rice because it was definitely delicious. There was something in this rice that tasted so good. The grains, the shrimps, the veggies and all other ingredients combined summed up to this yummy fried rice. It was a good combination with our spicy orange chicken for it helped in reducing the extremely spicy taste.
Chinese food in India isn’t bad after all!
