Comfort food at its best, served big, fast and fresh at any given time of the day is B&P’s mission.
B&P is the new “home” that warmly welcomes everyone and treat them as family.

I often pass by the Shaw Blvd area and notice the big sign of “Project Pie”. Months ago, it was the eye-catcher in that area and of course, the famous coffee establishment beside it, Starbucks. In between Starbucks and Project Pie (which I haven’t written but already tried several times hehe) there was a sign with “Cravings” logo. I was very curious on what kind of restaurant it will be launching. Now, the wait is over. A home of breakfast food called B&P is ready to serve their customers or as they say, their new “family”.
B&P is dressed up as the newest casual dining place along Shaw Blvd. The latest baby of Cravings Group is giving us a new feel of what it feels like to be at home in their home.
Appetizers while waiting help customers reduce their boredom from waiting. Nowadays, I know how people hate “waiting”. It’s just out of our vocabulary to wait and wait all the time. If hunger strikes, food is the worst to wait for. B&P addresses that concern by providing us with salted Peanuts to keep our mouth moving while waiting.

The Food:

Don Malutong (Php 275)
Rate: 4/5
All eyes gathered to one direction when Don Malutong arrived on our table. Crispy pork belly served with garlic rice, your choice of egg and papaya relish. How about that? A welcome fatty treat from B&P. I was deceived at first, thought it was bacon. With its addictive crunch and salty flavor, one serving might not be enough for 1 person. Your budget might get a little over when you desire for more of Don Malutong. This is how they show love, giving you what your cravings really want.
Primera Tapa (Php 280)
Rate: 4/5
Premium Angus Beef Tapa served on a bed of garlic rice, scrambled egg and pickled relish.
I can’t say NO to Tapa. It is one of my favorite breakfast meals. With all the beef tapa dishes I tasted, I couldn’t say B&P has the best. I’m very particular with the meat and the tenderness of its beef. I won’t deny that their rice complements the meat very well. But I wasn’t that impressed with their premium Beef Tapa. I would say it is good enough but not the best, considering the price and size.
Creole Style Eggs (Php 290)
Rate: 4/5
Two poached eggs topped with beef patty, melted Swiss cheese and a rich spicy buttermilk cream sauce.
This is what you call another deadly breakfast plate. Before a basketball game, men indulge in their breakfast of the champions. With or without a game, this is a champion breakfast even women will feel like winners. Its buttermilk cream sauce boosted the rich flavors of the entire plate. A morning won’t feel drowsy when you have this as your first meal.
Baxter (Php 175)
Rate: 3/5
Grilled onions, spinach and mushrooms.
The colors of yellow and green aren’t actually enticing for me as a visual foodie who is driven by how it looks, not only by how it tastes. It honestly looks dull to me beside all other dishes served to me at B&P. That’s only based on how it looks. By how it tastes, the full flavor of omelette complements if your choice is a light meal to fill up your day.
Salmon Hash & Eggs (Php 290)
Rate: 4/5
Fresh salmon, sauteed with garlic, peppers, onion and served with a side of homemade fries.
A mom and a child can share with this plate. Mom takes the salmon and the egg while the child gets the fries and the egg. Hehe. Just a weird suggestion if you are on a tight budget, which I don’t think you will be if you decide to eat at B&P. 🙂
Anyway, the way the salmon was cooked didn’t drain the freshness in it. The freshness remains as it blends well with a pair of sunny side up eggs to match the fresh sauteed salmon on plate.
The Heat Is On (Php 175)
Rate: 4/5
Spicy sausage, cheddar cheese, jalapeno chili with sour cream and salsa.
This is one of my favorites at B&P. I like the mixture of the spicy taste and the saltiness of cheese together with sausages that adds more spice.
Tastes edgy without losing the touch of “home” on it.
B&P Chick to Chick (Php 425)
Rate: 5/5
Part of B&P’s hall of fame is this B&P Chick to Chick. The name itself catches the attention of menu readers. Half chicken simmered in herbs and spices, coated in buttermilk butter then deep-fried to perfection. List this down as your must-try dishes at B&P. I have to agree that the chicken is deep-fried carefully making sure a single flaw is not touching it.
Baked Lasagna (Php 190)
Rate: 5/5
Pomodoro, bechamel, combination of beef & chicken, and cheese sauce.
A child-friendly meal that even adults will fancy to have one for themselves. The cheese is chewy and gooey that you wanna save all the cheese together as your last bite.

Baby Back Ribs (Php 430)
Rate: 4/5
Fork-tender baby back ribs with Texan BBQ sauce.
Chef Boom Jota won’t let you down with her baby. This will be filling considering its price that can feed 2-4 persons. This proves that B&P is not only a homey breakfast place, even ribs are in their kitchen if this is what you are craving for breakfast.
Triple Decker (Php 220)
Rate: 4/5
Three layers of pancakes filled with banana, nutella and caramel topped with whipped cream.
Definitely pancakes cannot be out of the picture if you talk about breakfast food. This American favorite is competitive enough against the international brand we all know of.
Pancake Supreme (Php 210)
Rate: 5/5
A must-try for all dessert and pancake fans. Five layers of pancake filled with strawberry, blueberry, banana, orange, and mango topped with whipped cream to reduce the sweetness of the entire pancake tower.
It’s too irresistible that you cannot neglect the presence of this pancake tower if this is served in front of you. A fluffy plate of joy smothering my mouth!
Strawberry Lemon Quench (Php 110)
Rate: 4/5
The popping bobba added the fun to drinking this Strawberry Lemon Quench. It looks like an ordinary pearl but once you squeeze in your mouth, you will be surprised as it will pop out the juice in it. I guess it’s not gonna be a surprise anymore because now you know. 🙂

The Ambiance:

“It’s a cozy hang-out place for people with hearty appetites, good taste, and a place to leisurely enjoy a good meal and make treasured memories with people that truly matter, like family and friends,” according to Architect Bettina Bonoan.
Playful colors that keeps the eyes at ease as you enjoy your homey all-day breakfast food.
“Complementing the refreshing casual restaurant concept is the upcoming digital menu and Wi-Fi, thus guests can conveniently ‘swipe’ their dish of choice via iPad, and immediately Instagram, post status updates or hashtag their dining experience at B&P.”
You could watch the chefs while they prepare your food. By the way, the kitchen is a room full of ladies. Go girl power!
Someone was like a chameleon at B&P. 🙂
Did you miss your breakfast? It’s not too late to catch up!
At any time of the day, B&P will welcome you with open arms to their “home”.
Feel right at home in B&P’s home.
Pray, Eat and Love.
Cheers,
