Did you have a date during Valentine’s Day? If you ask me, this is my answer – YES, I had a date.
You’ll find out at the end of this post who my date was!
But OPS!!! Don’t scroll it down yet… Don’t get too excited.
Before you do that, check out the place where we had our date, Dolcelatte, and the dishes we chose for our Valentine’s Dinner.
Citrus Grilled Shrimp (Php 425)
Rate: 4/5
Summer in my mouth! The citrus taste of this salad refreshed me. I enjoyed all of the salad toppings – grilled shrimps, arugula, peach slices, cherry tomato, pecan brittle and cranberries. Even the dressing was so refreshing, sweet and tangy peach lemon vinaigrette.
Beef and Cheese Cannoli (Php 195)
Rate: 4/5
The flaky crust with beef and oozing cheese filling didn’t seem to be an appetizer. One serving was rich with filling, heavy starter for me. If you are getting pizza, don’t get their cannoli anymore. We made a mistake. Hehe.
Sole Puttanesca (Php 420)
Rate: 4/5
One of our favorites! Privileged to try this pasta dish before it was out on the menu. Generous serving of pan seared sole fillet. The presentation obviously looks more appetizing, with the puttanesca sauce on top. What’s unique about this one is the lemon pasta they used to complete the dish.
Dolce Latte’s Pizza Supreme (Php 550)
Rate: 4/5
I didn’t appreciate the pizza that much since I started stuffing myself with cannoli already. When we brought home the pizza, heated the next day, that was the time I appreciated it. The crust still looked good as new. The toppings were supreme and overloaded the cheese. Just make sure the pizza won’t be stuck in the fridge for more than 1 day. Taste and health wise, it’s not advisable.
Surf and Turf (Php 650)
Rate: 3/5
While reading the menu, I saw that the thick slice of beef tenderloin will be served with seasoned shrimps and salmon. When the plate of Surf and Turf was given, I immediately looked for the salmon. Unfortunately, there were just 2 small cubes of salmon. 🙁 Bitin
On its positive note, the tenderloin was indeed juicy and tender. I just think it would be better if they added more salmon and/or shrimps.
Dolce Latte’s violinist played Kahit Kailan by Southborder for us. Serenaded by the sweet music. <3
The room where we dined in. You can also get this room if you have functions or events. I remembered my Victorian debut with this theme. Classic victorian with pretty pink and purple interiors. 🙂
For meetings or seminars, this room in Dolcelatte is also available for rental.
By the way, they have competitive rates. Definitely better than hotel boardroom rates.
Have you heard of C&E Bookstore? The educational bookstore that specializes on medical and science books? Well, this bookstore is the mother of Dolcelatte. The bookstore is located beside Dolcelatte

Peaceful and quiet hub to study and do research, with free use of computers to read e-books. Too late for me to find out that there’s a place like this. Wished I did my thesis here.
It’s not too late for my sister, who is a bookworm.
Anyway, ready to meet my date??? Here you go…
My DAD! 🙂 Thank you dad for being my consistent Valentine’s date. I love you! 🙂
Without a doubt, it was a Happy Valentine’s Day for us in Dolcelatte
Thank you Dolcelatte for the hospitable service you gave us. 🙂
Pray, Eat and Love.
