“Where will we eat?”, the usual question we have inside the car. At times where everyone is hungry, the mind tend not to work anymore and lag. This result in being indecisive and unsure of where to go. Given this case, my family and I fall back to California Pizza Kitchen, or CPK as known by most people, on normal days we couldn’t decide where else to eat. In times of this kind of indecisiveness, my family just nods their head when I shout CPK to them.

The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped (Personal – Php 345; Sharing – Php 585)
This recipe is an all-time favorite of the family. My sister who rarely eats salad gives a thumbs up to this dish. She can eat more than 1 serving and can actually finish 1 personal order of this BBQ salad.
Personally, I love that the salad is not purely veggies. The chopped chicken is actually more than enough, which balances the way you eat the salad. In other words, you get the best of both worlds, fresh greens and meat. With its BBQ sauce topped over, I give it two thumbs up. It’s the kind of salad I would want to have in my fridge every single day.
My family orders the sharing plate all the time since we are a family of 4. The waiter from CPK smiles every time he gets our plate because of its cleanliness. Not a single piece of vegetable or meat is left. Simot na simot, in Filipino.
White Pizza (Php 250)
Talked about balance in how the salad was prepared. Again here, balance is tackled in how it is with this White Pizza. A combo of veggies and cheese this time. This White Pizza includes Mozzarella, Fontina, Ricotta, Parmesan and Pecorino Romano Cheeses with fresh sauteed Spinach and garlic. I feel less guilty munching on this pizza because I know that I am eating Spinach with every intake of white cheese.
Talking to all health conscious out there. This pizza is for you!
”Whenever I eat pizza, I don’t really like having vegetables on it but with this pizza, I forget that I’m eating vegetables. Another way for kids my age to eat healthy with their favorite dish :)” -Reine (my sister)
