I thought cookie butter taste is over… Well, that’s what I thought.
Recalling the boom of cookie butter jars sold by stores (retail and online), by my friends, and by people who recently travelled abroad, there was extreme curiosity from people trying to find out what cookie butter tastes like. Even I wouldn’t deny to be one of them. I had my short longing for cookie butter desserts, most especially to get a hold of a jar for our home. I was introduced to that distinct taste of cookie butter and I couldn’t help but look for it from time to time.

Lotus Biscoff

Finally landed from Belgium, Lotus Biscoff is officially in the Philippines, exclusively distributed by Fly Ace Corporation.
Lotus Biscoff is famous for its deliciously crunchy caramelized biscuits. It has always been associated with a sip of hot, freshly-brewed coffee. Since 1932, Biscoff cookies have been Europe’s coffee break favorite. In 1950s, Lotus introduced pairing these cookies with coffee, which became a routine in Belgian hotels, restaurants and coffee shops.
Biscuit + Coffee = Biscoff
Soon, Lotus has been branded as “Europe’s Favorite Cookie with Coffee.” The Belgian cookies traveled all over outside Europe by introducing the cookies as in-flight treats. Today, Lotus is still offered in Delta Air Lines (US), Brussels Airlines (Belgium), Middle East Airlines (Lebanon) and El Al (Israel).
Now that Lotus Biscoff is officially distributed by Fly Ace Corporation, we wouldn’t need tough search engines and recommendations from people on where to find Lotus products. Made more accessible to the market because of its availability in leading grocery stores.

Lotus Biscoff Launch

Daphne Osena-Paez was our sophisticated host for the launch of Lotus Biscoff, which occurred at Society Lounge Makati.
Mr. Lucio Cochanco Jr., President of Fly Ace Corporation shared a quick story of the success behind bringing the foreign brand Lotus Biscoff to the Philippines.
Never a dull moment as you explore the taste of Lotus Biscoff. According to Lotus, the unique taste comes from the sugar’s caramelization during the baking process. In any angle of the biscuit, you’ll get a hint of cinnamon and a dozen more spices that add to the special twist of Lotus Biscoff. Indeed, the secret formula of Lotus Biscoff perfects the company of any cup of coffee. Every coffee needs a Lotus Biscoff – a very true statement.
Filipinos are more aware of cookie butter spreads than the cookies. The sweet and creamy cookie butter spreads became another alternative to peanut butter and chocolate spreads offered in the market.
I brought packs of Lotus Biscoff at home to let my family know what to expect the next time they check the shelves of supermarkets. Both mom and dad took a pause trying to understand what biscuit I made them taste for breakfast. They both looked at me dazzled with that small piece filled with rich and complex flavors. On the other side of the table, Reine gave me her face of approval. Means, she wants to get more! 🙂
