For the past few weeks since July, my agenda for the week is occupied with my visits to YSA Galleria branch, my skin and body care partner. One rainy afternoon after my Cavitation treatment, I found out that my driver and/or O couldn’t pick me up right on time. I had no choice but to either walk and window shop that might end up for me to shop beyond my budget or choose to spend my time in a cafe to read some articles via my iPhone. My ‘wais’ (wise) choice led me to staying put inside a cafe.
A number of coffee shops inside Robinsons Galleria were getting my attention, which complicated my choices. Based on what I needed, I must stay in a coffee shop near the entrance door. So in case O arrives, I could easily pay the bill, stand up and leave the cafe. While walking around the mall, I found the perfect spot to sit down, relax and wait for O.
I chose the Italaian coffee shop Caffe Pascucci Shop, located at the East Wing entrance of Robinsons Galleria.
Caffe Pascucci branched out in the Philippines last 2013. The Italian coffee shop may not be famous in the Philippines but in Italy and Korea, coffee lovers have been getting their daily caffeine fix in their international shops.
I knew it will take me more than an hour to wait for O so I decided to treat myself while being a social media bug on the phone.

The Food:

First, my striking red table looked like this. A sweet chocolate cheesecake and a glass of Banana Rock Coffee. While clicking the shutter, taking photos of my food, I realized this will be gone like the wind in less than 30 minutes.
Hence, I ordered something savory to complete my “me-time” merienda (afternoon snacks).
Banana Rock (Php 160)
Rate: 4/5
A glass of cold Banana Rock Coffee while listening of raindrops by the window gave me fruity chills. The sweet banana flavor turned my lazy bones even more lazy as I sit and standby for a steady afternoon. I was hesitant to finish a glass in an instant. I wanted to save it. O’s text that ‘he’s near’ was the go-signal to gulp to the bottom.
Roast Beef Triple Cheese Panini (Php 195)
Rate: 2/5
To fill the table with a savory note, I had Roast Beef Triple Cheese Panini. There was a shortage of gooey cheese and juicy meat. Meat appeared to be very dry, a dull-looking one.
Dark Belgian Cheesecake (Php 195)
Rate: 4/5
Choosing a dessert should be easy. The selections at Caffe Pascucci added a little stress to my afternoon. I couldn’t decide easily. After pointing and pointing of the server, to the dessert selections, I finally responded to a thumbs up to my best-seller choice, Dark Belgian Cheesecake.
It’s dark and it’s belgian, something I looked forward to. When I tried it, I had to savor every bite just like how I saved Banana Rock for the entire afternoon. I forgot about the cheesecake part since it was quite far from being a cheesecake because of its smooth and light texture and its dark chocolate blend.

The Ambiance:

I was drawn to the bold red and black colors that gave life to the cafe. The spot located at the entrance added points for being convenient.
I’ve heard Glorietta branch is about thrice the size of Galleria branch but with the same items on the menu.
By the window while waiting for O, I was also car-watching hoping he’ll arrive soon after I finish everything on the table. Or else, I’ll order more!
Do you find Caffe Pascucci as a cool coffee spot for caffeine lovers?
